4 years

Happy 4th Anniversary to the Hubs and I! Woot!! In honor of our anniversary, I wanted to post some never before seen pictures of our wedding :)

{i was a bride}

{in a pretty dress}

{ready to put on yet another pretty ring}

{and marry this handsome fellow}

{my brother and brother in law went up to light some candles, which they did not do correctly. This apparently upset Arn (our pastor) very much, so he made them go up, put them out and then walk back and do it the right way. Arn did not follow our 'go with the flow' attitude!}

{we were bag-pipped}

{i'm a ham....which is nothing new}

{we had a beautiful location}

{and beautiful guests, most of whom will love this picture}

{my kiddos - one of which i am going to watch cheer at her HIGH SCHOOL football game tomorrow, which I cannot begin to tell you how crazy that is to me!}

{i discovered this picture last year...it must have gotten lost in all of the proofs and for whatever reason i just never noticed it. now, it is framed and hanging on our wall and i love it more than anything!}

{but the dance floor was hoppin' all night long!}

{heather, rosie and grandma rosie}

{auntie cookie shakin' it!}

{there was lots of laughter}

{lots of love}

{we didn't have the typical father-daughter dance}
{i have 2 pages of our album dedicated to the funny pictures of my dad and i dancing}

{go uncle jim!}

{the dance floor was busy thanks to these guys...our amazing band!}

{the turza family...a family that I am so incredibly blessed to be a part of. they are the best family to marry into!}

So, Happy Anniversary to us!

{oh, and i grabbed my new hubby's tush}

A Minute to Say You Did it!

I have a bunch of pictures from the weekend to share, but first I have to share pictures from last night. Once a week Erin and Keith come over to our house and we drink like college kids chat like adults and have fun. This week we had a mini celebration for Erin's birthday and it turned into a "Minute to Win it" competition between me and Erin while the boys sat on the couch and watched TV. Wooohooo! Married life is exciting, people! Well....Keith and Erin aren't married yet, but they pretty much act like it :)

{and I have to preface this by saying it will probably be funny to all of 5 people that read this blog, but its damn funny to me so I'm putting it up here!}
{this super kung-fu move was done to try and keep  3 balloons in the air for a minute}

{it wasn't very easy}

{and we both lost this one}

{next up we tried to blow one bubble from one side of the house to another}

{go erin!}

{once they go down, don't even try to save it!}
{there was some debate over the cheap bubbles being used, so we switched to the thomas bubbles (with sweet blower thing!) to see if it made a difference}

{erin kicked my ass in this one, getting it in like, 20 seconds or something!}
{next up we tried to stack 3 golf balls}

{2 was pretty easy, 3 was near impossible!}
{my favorite picture of the night!}

{for this one the boys left their position on the couch...}

{and keith tried the golf balls while hubby went with the bubbles}

{it is addicting!}

Our fun night playing our version of MTWI (called, obviously, Minute to Say You Did It!) made us laugh so hard, it was soo funny....I think it would be awesome to have a MTSYDI party. Wouldn't that be great? Or maybe just Erin and I can keep doing random challenges on get together nights :)

Best Zoo Trip Yet!

The weather has turned into pre-fall...that perfect temperature of warm but not hot, breezy but not cold....ahhhhh, perfection. In honor of our perfect weather, Eddie and I took a trip to Brookfield Zoo....he loved the animals, I loved taking way too many pictures.
{Eddie's favorite, the Pigmy Hippo}

{I have a soft spot for Rinos after my mom and I went 'backstage' at Disney's Animal Kingdom and got to spend some time loving on a White Rino}
{oh, and the Rino pooped while we were watching. So now all Eddie talks about it the Rino pooping. Lovely.}

{eddie loves watching the Polar Bear swim, but the morning we were there he wasn't feeling the water. Eddie kept yelling "beaw! swim! jump in! go swimming! jump!"....poor guy didn't get his wish}

After some animal visits, we ate some lunch and I finally got brave enough to let Eddie go on the big playground. And that playground, honest to God, was like that TV show Wipeout: Toddler Edition. There was pushing and shoving and passing and stealing and kids climbing up slides and kids going down slides.....I really had to check my over-protectiveness and just let Eddie be one of the kids.

{he held his own!}

{It was choas, I tell you! And this was a slow day for the playground....I can't imagine when it is super crazy...}

 After the playground we took a trip the the Family Play Zoo, an area I've never been totally in love with, but it is included in our membership so we always stop there. On this trip, though, the play zoo was amazing. The staff was super fun and engaging and we played there for quite a while.

{we painted on the sidewalk}

{we misted plants in the greenhouse}

{we ran around the back garden, which we never new existed and is now my favorite place}

{eddie and his imagination decided this stump looked like a horse (and it did!) and he rode it for quite a while. It was so cute!}
{oh, and you can see a little bit of his face painting skills on his chin...the only place he painted :)  }

{my new favorite picture of us....the camera was on auto timer on another tree stump!}

{we found one of the peacocks, eddie's other favorites}

{and we also welcomed the pelicans to Chicago...they were rescued and rehabed from the oil spil}

{watched the monkies outside - I hate the inside part!}

All in all, our zoo day was wonderful. It gave me high hopes for the rest of fall!!
