So there you have it. 2009 in pictures. Crazy, huh? It is so awesome to see my son change through the months.
SO.
In honor of my love for pictures and signing up for crazy contests, I am going to do the 365 photo challenge. As in a photo per day. HOLY MOLY. I'm probably getting in over my head and will ditch half way thru, but that's ok. I want to try! The posts will simply be Photo of the Day, without any writing underneath....mainly to help save my sanity. I will keep posting about the important things, you just mainly have to work with me as I post a picture per day. And please, don't forget to cheer me on. If I miss a day, feel free to send me a lovely email telling me to get my ass in gear. Or make it not so lovely...that will probably work better. Wish me luck!
Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Worth the Work
Kept ya waiting, huh? Hehe. Sorry. So.....
We got home at 11:00pm Christmas Eve, put the bug to bed and worked on putting together all of his presents and bringing them up from the basement. Erm....I mean.....sat back and watched as Santa set them up. And because, lets face it, Santa is a busy guy and doesn't have an eye to detail like say, ME, I rearranged them all to my liking.
I'm picky like that.
After all of the opening present and playing with presents and then moving onto more presents and OH MY GOD HOW MANY PRESENTS DID WE GET THIS KID? I started cooking and preparing for our Chirstmas guests, my parents. WOOT!! No driving for us! Eddie was perfect and went down for his nap and even woke up from his nap right on schedule. And of course, when he woke up from his nap there were even more presents to open. Oh my.

{but doesn't it look so pretty?}
{he walked around the corner and was all WHOA. Then he let out a trademark 'heh' and we knew he was happy!}
{first he sat on his Mickey chair}
{then on his Mickey table}
{then on his elmo chair}
{see a pattern here?}
{then in his new igloo tent}
{he really liked the tent!}
{heeeey! there are some toys other than furniture here!}
{I love this picture for many reasons. Check out my dad's cheek bones and eddie's. check out their smiles. all the same! so cute.}
{all of my elves working away. how many adults does it take to put together a toy?}
The next day, we went to my parent's house (in the blizzard, if you don't remember!) to celebrate Christmas with my brother and sister in law. Besides the sledding, we had some awesome food and Eddie looked so freaking cute rocking some of his new clothes from Nanna and Grandpa.
{seriously. how awesome it he?}
{i could only sneek quick snap shots because i soooo did not expect him to keep the hat on for as long as he did!}
{my momma, the hostess with the mostess}
So there you have it. All of our Chirstmas celebrations. We are so thankful, as always, for our wonderful families. I hope that you all had a very, very Merry Christmas with your loved ones.

Christmas Eve Recap
Thursday we spent the afternoon and evening at my in law's house (or traveling back and fourth, as the previous day's ice storm made things a little interesting) which is always a good time. Lots of loud and fun aunts, uncles and cousins gather in a room and spend the holidays how everyone should - laughing and sharing memories.
{what do you mean Santa is coming HERE?!}
{OH! He brings presents!! Sweet!}
{our attempt at a family picture. The only way Eddie would be still was if I hung him upside down. Good times}
{shelby mae rocking her bow!}
{going in for the kill on eddie}
{almost got it....}
{she got him!!}
{Meika and Eddie loved going up and down the stairs}
It was a fun night. We hated being the first ones to leave, but it was over a 2 hour drive home, so we had a late night ahead of us. Eddie fell sleep on me at Thanksgiving, but there was no way that was happening this time...he was way to excited with all of the presents and ripping paper and whatnot. That didn't stop others from falling asleep, tho...my brother in law Pat and Ms. Shelby enjoyed what Frankie and I call 'the sleepy couch'. Pat even snuggled the Christmas moose.....
{merry christmas to all and to all a good night}
Too bad Frankie and I couldn't enjoy. We had a looong night ahead of us. The drive home was slow going and then, of course, we had to wait up for Santa to come. Let me tell you - that man works HARD. Who knew? Must be an adult understanding thing.....
{santa called ahead to ask Hubby to help set up some stuff. too bad santa didn't tell frankie to change his dirty socks! ewww}
{santa brought the mother load! and yes, all of the presents you see, wrapped and unwrapped, were for eddie. frankie and i exchanged gifts earlier. eddie is a very spoiled little man!}
{hmm...santa's handwriting looks oddly like mine....}
Can you even begin to guess what Eddie did when he saw all of his wonderful gifts? Well....
You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out. :)
