Totally Random Thursday...

I have a lot of things that I'd like to post about, but keep forgetting. So instead of seperating all of the thoughts floating around in my head, I'll just dump 'em out here and hope they make a little sense. Some pictures, some Eddie news and some other random dumping will follow....

{eddie bug has mastered drinking from a straw! it was very exciting, since he got it out of no where at a restaurant a couple weeks ago. It has since made life very easy, as those little milk boxes are everywhere now-a-days and Eddie gets such a kick drinking out of them}

{he still loves summersalts}
This past Saturday my family had their Thanksgiving celebration, one that has been a while in the making and gets better year after year. We had the pleasure of not only hosting my Uncle, but all of his daughters, one of whom we were missing last year. Renee and Darla also brought along their boyfriends, which made it all the merrier. The only one we were missing was my sister in law, Amy, who had a death in the family a couple days earlier. We had fun going over memories from our childhoods, playing with Eddie, eating - A LOT - and just being happy together. It was wonderful and I am so proud of my family for continuing what we started last year :)

{eddie rocked the faux-hawk and some converse sneakers. he's so hip}

{when we were kids Rikki and I would always put olives on our fingers and eat them off. Eddie got into the tradition this year, too!}

{my mom and dad and the 20-something pound turkey}

As I thought, my all of my mom's food rocked, we were stuffed and even sent home with left overs. When I went back to their house on Tuesday I was sent home with even more left overs. My momma can cook, ya'll...and when she does, she does it big!!

Monday we had Eddie's 15 month doctor appointment, where he weighed in at 26.5lbs (which I think is wrong) on the big kid scale....ya know, the one you stand up on? Crazy! No more baby scale. I do think the measurement was a bit off since he was holding my hand and onto the pole thing, but whatever. It was cute to see him stand up on there! His height measured at 33 inches and his head was some whopping size that I don't even remember. He is in the 80th percentile in weight, the 90th for height and the 95th for his head size. BWAHAHAHAAHA! His head is kinda massive. I did want to talk to the doctor a bit about Eddie's language, since I feel his word count is a little low, but he assured me that he is right on target. Of course Eddie had to go and prove me wrong and start saying A TON of new words in the past couple days....so I guess we really are good there :) Eddie Bug also got a shot in his arm, and let me tell you how shocking that process was.....NO TEARS! Not one! No wimpering, no clinging, no freaking out. It was awesome!! We said that we were going to request that nurse next time, too. Hey, you find a good one and you keep 'em around!!

And finally, yesterday was my brother Mac's birthday. Happy Birthday Mac!! Love you! (and yes, I stole that picture off of your facebook. you look crazy and Amy looks pretty. sue me!)

I think that's all. Thanks for putting up with my random post!!
