We just returned from Eddie's 9 month appointment and it was great! He didn't cry or fuss as he got checked out from top to bottom - he even smiled a ton for Dr. Phillips and clapped for one of his (medical - oriented) jokes that I didn't understand. Apparently Eddie is a baby genius for understanding that one!
Eddie is 20lbs, 29inches long - he 75th percentile for height and weight and the 95th percentile for his head circumference. HA! He's got his Daddy's head....poor man. Dr. Phillips complimented his awesome standing (which he said was closer to what an 11 month old would do - eek!). He also said that Eddie was an extremely friendly baby, so he's definitely got my personality there! He kinda shot down my hopes for switching Eddie to the "Go.andGro.w" formula that S.imi.lac makes ($6 cheaper than the regular formula) so while that stinks, we will be switching Eddie to whole milk in 3 months, so whatever. We will also be putting Eddie onto 3 solid meals a day since he seems to be eating more than a half cup of food at his 2 meals/day. He also mentioned that since Eddie is pulling up and cruising (usually 11 month milestones) that he may start to walk early, but also has to realize that he needs to grip with his toes in order to walk. Frankie's cousin-in-law Colleen mentioned that she and her husband, Mike think that Eddie is going to walk by 10 months - oh no! Am I ready for that? I'm not sure....
Did I mention that there were NO SHOTS at the 9 month appointment??? NO SHOTS!!! Praise the LORD!!
