My Perfect Day

First, Happy Belated Mother's Day to all of the Mommas out there!! I hope you all had a wonderful day filled with lots of love :)

My Mother's Day was perfect. Really, it was a day that I would qualify as my  perfect day. We started with brunch at Brookfield Zoo with Nanna, Grandpa, Mac and Amy. The food was wonderful and the desserts we even better! Plus, Amy and I drank our money's worth of champagne which was more than worth it to us!

After brunch we took a ride on the carousel and while Eddie waved to his adoring fans atop the gorilla, I rode on some pig-ish horned thing and Nanna made sure Eddie (and I) didn't fall off. Probably my favorite moment of the day, and I"m sooo happy that my dad took pictures for us!

Of course, we walked the zoo a bit and had a fun little time.

{this guy was still pouting in the corner}

{and apparently wasn't too happy that I made fun of him last time....look what he did when we started taking pictures! Snotty little gorilla}

After the zoo, we rode on over to the Hubby's parent's house, where we all had fun watching Eddie throw treats to the dogs, throw treats at grandpa (all while screaming with silly Auntie Tiss) and watching the Blackhawks lose (booo! worst part of mother's day). Eddie was a champ and stayed up until a shocking 9:00, when he promptly lost his shit and became a little crabby. I was shocked that he lasted that long, though, so we'll be proud of him anyway :) As usual, I forgot to take pictures there. Boo!

Thank you to everyone who made my Mother's Day fantastic. It was so amazing that we were able to see all of our family members in one day...it really kept me smiling all day long!

(PS - yes, Eddie has a shaved head. I was just going to cut the back because it was getting a little mullet-ish, but then the back didn't blend right, his crazy colic was making his hair stand up in crazy ways, so I just shaved it. And I love it!! I think he looks adorable!)
