Eddie's best friend V was on vacation for a whopping 2 weeks, which in toddler time is practically forever. Hell, it seemed like forever to me, too, since every time we were outside we had to go to V's house just to make sure that she was still gone. He would ring the doorbell, call for her over and over again until finally giving up and heading home. We had the same talk each time, that V was on vacation, she was at the beach, that we miss her and she will be back home soon.
Thankfully, she came back today and I can not even tell you how excited Eddie was. He just kept walking up to her and saying "(name)....hi.....(name)....hi!" - it was adorable. She gave him a little drum thing, and let me tell you....he is walking around with that thing like it is made of gold. He holds it and says her name over and over again, totally in love with her treasure from vacation.
