We've been invaded

By this...

GERMS!! And contrary to the commercials, Muc.ine.x does not work wonders. The crappy little guy above is still living in my sinus cavities. It started with a very crabby baby on Friday...I knew something wasn't right, but I was hoping that he would kick it. Saturday, Eddie was just crying hysterically or sleeping. He would only eat 2oz of every bottle, when he usually eats 6 with each bottle. He was so miserable...I took him temperature (rectally, the poor fellow) and it was 99.6, which isn't concerning. After calling the pedi, they wanted to see him because of the non-eating. When we got there, his temp was 100.6...not good. After listening to him for a while, Dr. Phillips diagnosed Eddie with RSV. He advised me to watch his breathing (making sure it didn't go over 60 breaths per minute) and listen for wheezing. With our family history of asthma, this was a very valid concern. Dr. Phillips did say that if we made it to Monday, we were in the clear. Saturday did get worse...his temp went up to 101.6, but his temp eventually went down, breathing calmed and he made it to Monday!! WOOO HOOOOOO!!!

Me, on the other hand....not so good. It started with a very, very sore throat. I went into the doctor Sunday and have a sinus infection. Yay! Thank God Frankie was home Sunday to let me sleep...I barely made it through by myself yesterday. He ended up coming home early and I went to bed at 6:00pm. Today I woke up feeling a little better...still very stuffy but the sore throat finally stopped and I can swallow again! I'm just hoping to be a little better by Sunday. Oh! I forgot to say that in my sicky sick haze, I bashed my face on the counter while putting away the toaster. A lump has developed on my eyebrow, but I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a big bruise. Wouldn't that just be so pretty at my son's baptism? And another oh! Frankie is getting sick too. Yay! At least my baby boy doesn't look like this anymore.....

isn't that just heartbreaking? My poor man. I won't leave you with that sad picture, though...here's a happy one...

this is the mister doing his attempt at crawling...he basically pushes his legs around so much that he can scooch himself a little bit...but the scooching pulls down is shirt and gives him some killer man cleavage. Ha! We were scared he was going to give his little nips some rug burn :)
