In case you aren't a kid show watcher, you need to check out Curious George's theme song. Not only is it super cute, but it sticks in your head like glue. No need to thank me - the millionth time you sing a random part of the song you'll be cursing the fact that I ever posted that link :) Trust me...even my dad was singing it after the show Sunday. OH YES. My dad came with! I'm sure he agrees that it is every bit as painful for him as you imagine.
All in all, we really loved it. Eddie was in a funk for the first half, but by the second was talking away to George and clapping....even tapping his foot to the music! It was adorable. He went back and fourth sitting on all of us (i'm sure grandpa's turn was his one and only favorite part of the afternoon) but eventually decided that Daddy was the most comfortable. He was also closest to the stage....go figure.
{excited for the show to begin, with his new spinner thing. in a perfect string of events, we had to throw his elmo one out the night before so we were sooo happy to get a replacement! eddie also spent most of the show trying to chew george's head off, so it also worked as the perfect teething toy.}
{crabby, teething baby, sick of waiting for the show to start. cute picture otherwise, though!}
{hi george!!}
{the show was about chef pasgetti's meatballs...which eventually leads to george going to rome. it was super cute. really...the best live kid's show i've seen yet. and we've been to a lot..heh.}
{i know he isn't looking, and i know this picture has that horrible flash look to it, but seriously. i'd be darned if i didn't think this was the cutest picture of my son!}
{eddie's all....hey! cute girl sitting behind us! how you doin'?}
{horrible picture, i know. but he was finally clapping and happy during the second half, so it had to be documented!}
{ok, horrible picture. but this was soo freaking funny. they end up at a meatball contest and these girls had sparkley gold meatballs on their head and hand. awesome costuming, cg live!}

{i just had to include this one because the man in the yellow hat was awesome! he looked just like the cartoon. is it sad that things like this make me happy?}
So there ya go. Yay for George! There were kids of all ages in the audience, but I can only speak for my little man - he loved it. It could just be his age, but he sat nicely and watched the whole thing and was more invested in it than the other (seasame street and disney) shows that we have been to. Plus the toys and such weren't half as expensive as the other shows!
In other news, Eddie is feeling better. He slept a little later (about a half hour, but a big difference for him) and napped a little longer (by almost an hour) so he's still fighting something, but his personality is back. Unfortunately, I am sick. I think hubby is getting sick, too. AWESOME! Spring can't come soon enough. I am so sick of staying inside!
