First we went to Lincoln Park Zoo, one of my favorite places ever....
There is nothing like walking through a huge park with a view of the Chicago skyline in the distance. One of the many, many things I love about this city!
Next up we had what turned out to be a HUGE family gathering at the restaurant that our family is slightly obsessed with (which, can I just say....ya'll, it kinda sucked the other night. I wasn't impressed!)
{Florida, Wisconsin, Colorado and Illinois family gathering!}
{Brooke, with a blocked Makenzie, Kelby with Hudson (who has the best smile ever), Sam, Kirby, Wyatt, Ellie and Eddie (who looooved holding hands with Ellie!)}
{eddie stayed fairly amused by playing with cups and drinking TONS of water}
{and after a whole carafe and a half of water, as we were walking out and I was holding Eddie, his poor diaper just couldn't take it any more and I was quickly covered in toddler pee. COVERED. And we had a hour and a half drive home. Awesome!}
The next day we were going to go to Six Flags as a group, but plans changed last minute, and after the 2 hour drive to Six Flags, I was glad that I had asked my cousin Jen to come along.....we had a blast at the park! And even though she made me go front row on Superman, would make fun of me when I got a little nervous at the top of the hill......and people....I know she was laughing at me when I would scream on a coaster, I was so thankful for the mommy break and the ablility to just have some girl time. OH! OH! and, she took the back seat on the log ride, and since I didn't want to sit in the front and get totally soaked, I sat infront of her, causing the people to put another couple with us. And we both fought the urge to shout "cousins!! just cousins!!" as we passed people all snuggled up on our log ride :)
I love my family :)
(please forgive all of the phone pictures....we're still waiting to see if my DSLR is fixable....fingers crossed!)

Damn, I need my own blog so I can post the picture where I look cuter! I love you too Maggie!!!
