{Jim helping Miss Shelby skate}

{family skate :) so cute!}

{oh hubby. thanks for the wonderful picture.}

{after some skating with Eddie, I had to take a break...good think Miss Leah was there to keep me company!}

{Michelle got a chance on the ice with Shelby}

{so cute!}

{eddie eventually (after about an hour on the ice with only a couple water breaks) started skating just holding hands}

{to skating on his own! my two year old was skating on his own!!!}

We were so unsure on how he would do, and went in bracing ourselves for him skating for only 10-15 minutes at a time. We had no idea that he would skate the entire hour and a half, hardly willing to stop for water breaks. He would literally walk of the ice, grab some water and turn around to walk right back onto the ice....with or without one of us to help him. Once he started skating on his own, going back and fourth between me and Hubby, he decided mid-length that he would rather skate back to where Grandma was watching, so he did just that. He stopped, turned and skated towards Grandma! It was amazing. It was adorable. It was so much better than we had planned! I have no idea if it is normal or not for a 2 year old to skate on his own, but we were totally impressed :)
