Today we had an awesome trip to the Hoosier Grove Barn in Streamwood for Shelby's first birthday party. Given Eddie's past history of being very crabby during family events, I was a little nervous, but knowing Michelle (Frankie's cousin and Shelby's momma) I knew that she would be on top of the baby toy situation, so that was a plus. Not only was the party adorable, it gave me tons of inspiration for Eddie's party and Eddie was great throughout the whole thing!
{Seriously...how cute is Miss Shelby?}
{Um, does anyone else see the crazy face that Eddie is giving me?
My little demon baby - such a cutie pie!!}
{Eeek! A happy boy!}The first birthday parties of the Turza family babies really are bittersweet. While I want to slow down the days - watch Eddie more carefully, study his movements, enjoy his milestones - I can't wait for the new things to come. I need to start living in the moment and enjoying everything....because before I know it, his birthday party will be here and I'll be a crying mess. Just thinking about him turning one is such a huge deal to me - I never understood the whole big first birthday thing...now, I want to throw the biggest party, invite everyone I know and shout from the rooftops that my baby is one.
But until then, internet....my baby is 8.5 months old - and he is the most amazing thing I have ever done in my entire life. I can't imagine this feeling in a couple more months...and I can't wait to feel it.
