Happy Birthday Grandpa!!

Yesterday was Grandpa Frank's Birthday, and while I had all intentions of posting this yesterday, I spent the majority of the day prepping Eddie for our phone call later that evening. I lost count of how many times I said 'Happy Birthday Grandpa!' in an effort to have Eddie copy me. The best I got out of him was something along the lines of 'hapa buda randpa!' which he of course wouldn't repeat once we had Grandpa on the phone. Sigh. Why don't toddlers cooperate when you need them to? That's alright, though. He did give Grandpa lots of other babbling, which I am pretty sure means he had his own idea of what he would like to say to his Grandpa on his birthday.

Eddie would like to tell you all about his Grandpa and what makes him awesome, so here we go!

My Grandpa wasn't nervous at all to hold me when I was first born. He brought my daddy a whole box of 'It's a boy!' cigars.

As I got older, everyone thought it was so cute to hold me like this. I loved looking around the world. My Grandpa loves showing me around and will walk around with me for hours pointing out things. He points out the best stuff! Now that I'm older he holds me while I play with their wall mounted phone. He picks it up and says 'hello? hello?' in the funniest voice. It is my favorite thing to do at their house!

My Grandpa loves to feed me. When I was little he would sit patiently while I chugged down my bottle. Now that I'm older, he loves to see what he can feed me. He's always asking mommy and daddy if he can give me ice cream, and they always say no. It doesn't stop him from asking, though! He knows I'll like it. Maybe I can get some at his birthday dinner!

My Grandpa always wants to play with fun things. At a party this summer we had so much fun at the water table! We both got so soaked that I had to take off my clothes and let them dry in the sun. Grandpa and I were having so much fun!

Grandpa loves our dogs, Saddie and Jack, too. He always takes them on walks and all of the dogs jump around like crazy when he is around. I think he likes the dogs even more than I do! They like him better than they like me, that's for sure.

My Grandpa is the best. I hope he had an AWESOME birthday and I can't wait to see him this weekend!!
