Let them eat cake.

Last night I stayed up until 11:00 baking cupcakes. For no particular reason other than the fact that I happened to have the ingredients for PW's chocolate sheet cake and went for it. Going for it, as it seems, was the right thing to do.

At about 10:30 I updated my facebook to say "well color me dumb but who knew chocolate cake from scratch was so delish?" because SERIOUSLY.

Yum.

I've never made (or had, I believe) cake from scratch. I mean. HELLO?! There are boxes in the grocery store for that. Why in the world would I throw together some flour and sugar and well....2 sticks of butter (but who's counting?) and make some yummy deliciousness? But I did. It was awesome. And super easy.

And I'm just a little proud of myself. I hope all of Hubby's bankers tomorrow will enjoy my late night baking. Baking for banking. Cute!
