Today, as Eddie and I waited for what the media portrayed as THE WORST SNOWSTORM OF THE SEASON!!!!!!!! I wondered if we really were going to get the 7+ inches that they were reporting. I mean, I had my doubts. After all, they said the Great Suburban Blizzard was going to be nothing more than an inch or so. As a result, when I woke up this morning to a very light but steady snow, I called bullshit. But the news is still saying it will be THE WORST SNOWSTORM OF THE SEASON!!!!!!!!! so I guess I should start believing them. I decided that there is nothing better on a cold, snowy day than some tomato soup and grilled cheese.
Eddie really, really liked it.
Sometimes he ate with a spoon....
Sometimes he went with the dunk and eat method...
...and sometimes here is nothing better than just eating soup off of your fingers.
I love this day. I love this lunch. Today is one of those days when being a SAHM is the greatest thing in the world. It has been stuffed full of laughter and hugs and sweet little moments that make the whole toddler thing worth it. Grilled cheese and tomato soup. Who would have thought something so simple make me so happy?
Now I want to make some but have no tomatoe soup!
