I did it!!!

This year's Thanksgiving was held at my mother in law's house and I was in charge of the day. I was nervous, so mainly kept the food simple, just trying to get through with everything on time. I had a very, very detailed schedule (by hour) that I stuck to like glue. I pre-packed everything in baskets from my house and basically ran the show as if I was the caterer. I brought everthing and took everything back home with me. I still can't believe I actually did it! Everyone says the meal was great and I appreciate the compliment....even if they're lying....heh.

{first you start with some of this}

{and then you add some of this. Not the herbs...the wine. And not for cooking. Heh}

{ooooh pretty!}

{my last minute centerpiece}

{aaahhh!! attack of the crabby snotty crying baby!!! This shy thing is rough}

{Don't worry! Soon he calmed down and decided to help momma}

{Good thing, too. The wine started to kick in and I started to spill. And just not care :) Thanks for the help, Colleen! oh - and I'm serving Italians here. I had to have some pasta and chicken parmigiana!}

{...and check out my new warmer thingy! She's purty}

{What it's all about-Hi Turza's!}

{Hi Michael!}

{Sweet Ms. Makayla}

After dinner, I got to relax a bit and hung out with everyone, watch the boys play and toss a turkey.

Yes, I said toss a turkey. But first....

{the boys played with Mater}

{the baby watched}

{Jamie did the happy dance}

{and got some baby love. Such a good Auntie!}

And then, we hurled a frozen turkey down the street. Yup. This tradition started maybe 4 years ago, when Aunt Maryanne had this cooky idea and we all kinda looked at her like she was crazy. But it is SO FUN. Without fail, it supplies us with endless amounts of laughter and memories. Need something to spruce up your Thanksgiving? Go to the store, buy a frozen turkey and allow your family to think you're crazy for a moment. They'll thank you later.

{tossin' a turkey in heels. Go Vikki!}

{the boys says 'burrrr'}

{go jamie!}

{I WON!! I WON!! Me posing with my flag marker.}

{Now time for the boys to throw! J with Eddie in her adorable hat}

{The boys usually rock the bowling style, ala Brad}

{Michael even took a turn!}

{This picture cracks me up to no end. Check out the intensity! Awesome}

{Hubby won for the men's too!!}

{Hubby (this year's winner) with his victory shirt and Pat (the worst from the men) with his weights to prep for next year. HA!}

{Me and the hubs, with are awesome shirts. Woohoo!! We take the turkey toss very seriously}

So there you have it. Yesterday was such an amazing day and I am so thankful for the family that I married into - one full of love, laughter and happiness. I had so, so much fun yesterday and loved every minute of the day. My favorite part, hands down, was when we all went around the table to say what we are thankful for. Frank said he was thankful for the doctors and technology that helped make me better. AW! It was so sweet. Thanks, hun.

Saturday we have Thanksgiving for my family, which should be wonderful as well. My mom is an amazing cook and will surely blow my Thanksgiving out of the water, but that's all right. I won the Turkey Toss and she can't take that from me! I am keeping my eye on Colleen for next year tho. Gotta start training now!
